Teen Angel

When Jellybean came in the house all the family'd hide
When Jellybean walked around we'd all just step aside
'cause the tantrum was the only law that Jellybean understood
when it came to screamin' loud and rude ---she was mighty good.

From out Mid-West a Stranger came, a rule book in her hands for Bean.
The kind of woman home would need to tame a troubled teen
'cause the tantrum was the only law the Jellybean understood
when it came to screamin' loud and rude -- she was mighty good.
Many a soul would face her ire and many a soul would fall
The soul who loved Liberty Valance - I mean, Jellybean, they loved Jellybean
Was the bravest of them all.

The love of a girl can make a mom stay on when she should go (to a week-long pampering at a lovely Arizona spa)
Just tryin' to bring a peaceful life where respect might eventually show
But the tantrum was the only law that Jellybean understood
when the final showdown came at last, that rule book was no good.

Alone and afraid she prayed that teens would grow up overnight
but nothin' she said could keep that teen from pickin' her a fight
From the moment a girl gets to be a teen the very first thing she learns
when mom and daughter face each other only one retur-r-r-ns

Everyone heard the shouts ring out, the words made Jellybean fall
The mom who outshouted the rudest teen, she bested Jellybean
She was the bravest of them all.

Warbler, dear.
All I can say is ...God love ya.

Did I hear that they're filming "Survivor: Bath, Maine" next season?

Never surrender, dear.

I know you like to work alone, but I thought I'd add a verse. Perhaps

Words and love (sometimes tough)
Not rifles, guns or tanks
Were the weapons that the Stranger tried,
And Jellybean said, "Thanks."

Just a point of clarification because the photo has me a bit confused.

Did you actually 'catch' a wild teen? If so, how did you lure her into the basket trap??
It's so rare to see one in captivity, as they are ususally found roaming in herds through their natural habitats: e.g malls, schools and other places where they can gather in crowds.

Anyways, I am quite impressed.
Just remember to handle your very own wild teen with caution, I've heard that they're quite tempermental and tricky.

I'll look forward to future reports.

Croc Hunter,

As with catching any wild animal, it's all about the bait and the wait. At one end of the run is something requiring effort: dishes, a pile of dirty laundry, a lawn in need of mowing, hygiene - at the other: a phone. From there it's just a matter of waiting for one to leave the herd to investigate. Et voila!

Crikey!

That's brilliant...absolutely brillant!

Good thing you decided to use your powers for good, instead of evil.
