And Then...

The hot water heater broke today.

*sigh*

I would like a margarita now. And some cheese quesadillas.

depending what is wrong with the water heater, it might not be as bad as you think. Is it leaking(either gas or water)? Is the pilot light not staying lit? Is the thermocouple not working correctly?

Anon is right. All I can say is quesidillas, chimichangas, chile cheese enchiladas, Frito Pie, tacos el carbon, and stuffed jalapeno poppers. I don't know you well but my wife Lori would really like a vodka margarita with fresh juice and a fudge chaser. Seems to work!

All this bad news makes us dudes really frustrated. It is just sweat equity, the simple stuff.

Okay, well, if I understand it correctly, the water heater is electric and originally was on a timer...but somebody tried to bypass it through the wires and...well, the plumber's coming mid-week to bail me out. We now have hot water intermittently. Better than not at all, eh?

Sam, don't cry for me, Margarita(s will make it better) *grin*

didn't think to ask if it was gas or electric. in my little slice of heaven, applicance like water heaters and furnaces normally run on gas. sometimes i wish everything was run on electric. then, wouldn't have the problems of leaking gas meters at the next-door neighbors'.

btw, i like the idea of quesidillas, margaritas, but i'd have to accompany that with some Stevie Ray Vaughan.
